Evaluation of Potential Changes in Extreme Discharges Over Some Watersheds in Côte d’Ivoire

Climate change has had strong impacts on water resources over the past decades in Côte d’Ivoire, but these hydrological extremes remain largely unknown most watersheds. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate trends and breakpoints extreme discharge characteristics of five watersheds d’Ivoire period 1970 2017. Seven indexes were selected, namely 5-day maximum flow (QX5-days), peak (Qmaxan), monthly (VCX30), annual minimum (Qminan), average (QMNA), day rate (VCN7), characteristic low (WFD). The analysis was done using modified Mann–Kendall (MMK) test standard normal homogeneity at a 5% significance level for heterogeneous homogeneous periods data. results similar, with predominance non-significant high discharge, except VCX30 index, which showed significant upward trend Kahin station.
